This fall, I had the privilege of photographing Christina and Sebastian's civil wedding – a truly magical experience! These two radiate an irresistible charisma that immediately captivated me. The guests were equally welcoming, and the atmosphere was simply fantastic.
When Christina and Sebastian told me how much they liked the pictures and that they would like to hire me as the photographer for their non-religious wedding, I was incredibly happy!
And now, finally, the time has come! The wedding ceremony took place at the wonderful location “Luck in a Cup” took place in Mülheim, and I was able to capture it in pictures. I would now like to share this report with you.

First look and couple shoot in MÜGA
The photoshoot with Christina and Sebastian took place before their wedding in the beautiful MÜGA Park. This location in Mülheim offers a charming backdrop for such occasions, and it's always a great pleasure for me to photograph here.
I usually recommend my couples schedule their shoot as late as possible to capture the best possible light. The "golden hour," about an hour before sunset, is ideal. However, there's an exception to this rule in spring or late fall, as the sun is generally a bit weaker and lower in the sky at this time. This gives us the opportunity to capture beautiful first-look shots during the day, allowing the couple to fully enjoy the festivities afterward.
It's a truly magical moment when Christina and Sebastian see each other for the first time in their wedding outfits, and all the emotions are expressed in their eyes. I'm grateful to be able to capture these intimate and meaningful moments, which they can later relive with joy and nostalgia.
In addition, after the shoot, Christina and Sebastian can fully concentrate on the upcoming celebrations without having to think about the couple photos.
The wedding ceremony on the sandy beach of “Luck in a Cup” in Mülheim
"Luck in a Cup" is simply an enchanting location for an outdoor wedding. The expansive sandy area exudes a relaxed summer feeling and creates a completely casual atmosphere. This location is a perfect fit for a laid-back couple like Christina & Sebastian. I personally also think it's perfect for a boho wedding.
Unfortunately, we were caught in a brief rain shower during the ceremony. But Christina & Sebastian didn't let it spoil their mood and enjoyed their wedding. In fact, this unexpected moment made for some truly amazing shots. No matter what happens on a day like this, the atmosphere and the couple's emotions are what not only define the day but also reflect the magic in the wonderful images.

Champagne reception, group photos and start of the celebration
The interior of "Luck in a Cup" is designed with great attention to detail, creating a very special atmosphere. But the real highlight of this location is undoubtedly the Essen, which is a true delight, especially for those who appreciate creative appetizers.
After the champagne reception and a few relaxed group shots, the celebration began with a little surprise – the two witnesses had arranged for a musician. It was a spontaneous and unforgettable moment as the bride and groom danced on the dance floor. It was the perfect conclusion to my photo reportage.
